As you may be aware, the Water Polo Club has been given the opportunity to take on the Pyramids pool between 1900-2030 on Wednesday evenings for swim training. There are a number of our members that have requested additional pool time, and also there are a number of Synchronised Swimming members (who used to have their sessions in this pool time) who would like to continue swim training on this evening each week.
It is proposed that Andrew Salter and a qualified swimming coach will coach the sessions in order to ensure that the sessions are run with appropriate supervision. The sessions will commence on the first Wednesday in May 2014. If you wish to attend the session then the Water Polo Club will be introducing a new ‘Fitness Membership’ at £20 per calendar month, payable by standing order to the Club. You will also need to have a valid ASA membership, and if you do not have one then there will be a one off fee of £30 to be paid. If there are any parents of members who would like to volunteer to help out on pool side then please let me know.
A number of people have already indicated that they would wish to attend the session. If you wish to attend please do let me know by return email and I shall ensure that the appropriate membership form (if necessary) is sent to you. Please note that these sessions are open to anyone to attend – be they members of the Synchronised Swimming Club or Water Polo Club, or indeed from elsewhere in the event that there is space available. Please therefore feel free to forward this email accordingly.
