Exeter’s U17’s travelled to Weston Super Mare on Sunday with a team deliberately missing some key players to provide an opportunity for some younger and less experienced players to progress. Matt Tribble opened the scoring from the pit, and despite having a great match making good pit positions – the Weston Super Mare Goal Keeper (a national player) seemed determined to stop Matt scoring again. Jack Drew marked Weston’s key player brilliantly, only being scored off twice in the entire match – with the remainder of Weston’s goals coming from counter attacks. Tom Hutchens was in fine form joining Jack Cutting in both getting hat-tricks – only to be outdone by Jack Conway in the last quarter who found his fourth goal of the match. The end result a 14-8 victory.
