There were 8 players from Devon including 2 from Exeter representing the South West in the under 14 national regional championships held at Walsall this weekend. The team were only beaten by 1 goal in the semi final to the eventual winners and ended up as bronze medal winners.
Goal keeper Tom Manley from Newton Abbot and captain Robert Whittaker from Barnstaple won the most valuable player awards with Newton team mates Haydn Wooley and Oliver Wright putting in strong performances.
The Exeter pair of Freddie Herring and Cameron Sydenham along with Will Cunningham from Okehampton and Toby Marks from Devonport also contributed to an impressive overall team achievement.
